Thoreau's Legacy: American Stories about Global Warming

The Union of Concerned Scientists and Penguin Classics have published Thoreau's Legacy: American Stories about Global Warming an outstanding anthology of essays and photos from Americans all across the nation. The foreword from award-winning author Barbara Kingsolver - which itself has been getting a lot of attention - serves as a strong segue.

The entire book is online for readers to access for free in a very cool interactive format. And thousands of people have been reading it online, tweeting it and blogging in just the first few days since launch. I highly recommend you check it out: http://www.ucsusa.org/americanstories
